Restoring 1965 230SL Help Needed
« on: February 22, 2010, 05:50:28 »
My name is Freddie and live in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I have been restoring Porsche's for many years now.  However, I have had an affinity for this paticular Mercedes since childlhood thus, my desire to restore this model.  I mostly do paint/body restoration.  This is my first time restoring a Mecedes and I'm in need of some help.  My client and I are seeking to find an original/restored 65 230sl in the nearby area to use as a standard/pattern .  I want to get every detail of my clients car to original as possible.  Basically I will be doing a showroom finish starting from metal.  If you could lead me or recommend a car that we could see, this would be greatly appreciated.  Regards, Freddie (925) 628-3387
