Resilvered mirror?
« on: March 05, 2010, 22:54:00 »
My inside rear view mirror is starting to look deteriorated. Silvering is gone around the edges and there are spots in the "field". Is it possible to remove the glass for re-silvering or replacement? Any suggested sources for replacement glass? If all else fails, are complete new mirrors available?
Thanks

Gus

Hi Gus,

The black plastic back mirrors are not replaceable nor are they repairable, they have to be changed, only the chrome units up to 67 are changeable.
The best way is to keep an eye on places like ebay, or perhaps a member may have a spare one.
