I am buying a 280 sl 1968 but it has two giant carburetors. Is that normal?

Aren't all the pagodas 280 fuel injected?
Should I refrain from buying it?
Will it's value go down?
Please help before Friday as I need to decide before Saturday.

All are fuel injected. It is worth something for sure, but it is a bastardized car and only worth what someone will pay.

IMHO: Avoid this car.  There is no shortage of proper cars for sale, you just have to look, and it may not be in your backyard.

Two carbs is a sad tale:  either wrong engine, or someone didn't want to fix things properly, or any number of scenarios, NONE of them proper.

agree with previous comments, but with one additional one: putting in a proper engine is not hard to do and you may be able to buy this one for a lot less than what it costs to straighten it out. Of course, beware of other things that are not right, because if the wrong engine was put in, what else was compromised. And in Lebanon, proper engines could be difficult to come by.
