top oil cooler line
« on: May 05, 2010, 00:38:54 »
I need a new top oil cooler line but neither MB Canada or Classic Center has them as they are no longer available. I am having a new hose put on the old couplings but I find that after a few years they start to leak. Does anybody know of a manufacturer that can reproduce these hoses? The bottom ones are still available

If you can find yourself a farm equipment outfit, they would be able to make compression fittings for these hoses.

I ordered a new top oil cooler line just last year (March 2009) from M-B dealer, price $62.35.  Also ask for your discount.  At that time this line was available.  Part number is 130 187 02 82.  You should check with your dealership parts department, or again with M-B Classic (ask for Woodie, and tell him I sent you).  Give him/or dealer parts department the part number.  Good luck,

My engine number is 130983-10-001220 which has a 20mm coupling. The part number that is available is for the later engine which is 18mm. Tom Hanson at Classic said he would keep looking. In the meantime I had my hose replaced but they only last 2 years and then start to leak
