Fuse kit part number - need to verify
« on: July 12, 2010, 03:53:31 »
Hi can anyone tell me if a Mercedes-Benz part  # 124-580-00-10 "spare fuse ket" is proper for my 1970 280SL?  Or where can I verify the proper part# for my SL?

thanks
Jim

Hi, Jim,

As the part # suggests, it is a later kit from a W124, but is the only one available from MB afaik.

It does not have the short stubby 25 amp fuses.

Naj:
I see, not a perfect match, but otherwise, will it make for a faily close replacement for the missing fuse kit in my tool bag ?

Yes, Jim,

Its a nice little box and you can always add a couple of the stubby fuses.

I believe they are available from the US classic center but when I ordered them here I just received the regular size fuse rated at 25 amp.
