Hi All:
What products are available in the U.S. to safely clean interiors upholstered with original MB-Tex?  I have a 1970 280SL with dark brown MB-tex that is original and would like to spruce it up.  Is there a product that you have used and would recommend?

Jim

Simple Green full strength with a soft scrub brush, followed by a rinse of water then dried with a Bounty paper towel and a hair dryer and treated with Zymol Vinyl (with a Bounty) then heated with a hair dryer to bring out the sheen.

I was amazed when I tried Mr Clean Magic Eraser.
There are no chemicals in them. They apparently use some kind of a microscopic abrasive action.
I couldn't believe how much gunk I got off of what I thought were pretty clean surfaces.

Put it this way. My car was really dirty and I ended up washing the seats with Laquer thinner. Basically you can't hurt it.

Previous car had a Cognac MB Tex interior. Cognac is a light color that shows the dirt.

The seats had not been cleaned for many years. The usual gentle cleaning methods did not work. I used a fairly stiff bristle brush, a lot of elbow grease, and Lysol full strength. Lysol is used to clean public restrooms so you might not like the "fragrance" but it worked very well. I did not try Simple Green but my guess is that it will work as well and not insult your nose as much.

I have used Pristine clean from leatherique. It's primary target is leather but is also works great on vinyl. Extremely good cleaning action. Look at their website.
