Vin tag on 280SL

I never noticed until recently when I went to check the vin tag inside the driver door of my 1968 280/SL. The tag read seating capacity 3. I have a factory jump seat. I thought it would be interesting to see if other owners with the jump seat option have this same vin tag reading.
More interesting is how the coupe version with the bench seat is titled on the vin. Could it read 4 seater ?  Has anyone a  coupe to check their vin and let us know?

Some of the rear jump seats were installed by dealers in the US and not at the factory. I have a rear seat that was dealer installed. The rear seat does not even appear on the Data Card. The original owner told me that the rear seat was installed by the US dealer before he took delivery.
My vin tag shows seating for 2 because when it left the factory, it had place for only two people.
