Heater Lever differences - Febi & Mercedes
« on: July 30, 2010, 00:01:53 »
I need to replace the heater levers on my 1970 280SL.  The aftermarket Febi's are about half (or less) of the cost of the Mercedes ones.  What is the difference between them ?  Are the differences noticeable once installed?  Thanks for your help..

Hello Bob,

I have seen the color on the blue lever vary to adifferent blue color  from original recently. Not sure it this is just the aftermarket part or all parts.  Also Make sure to look at the new grey lever closely.  Compare it to the original.  I have had to cut down a raised "boss" which jambs the lever after the speaker is installed in the dash. The original grey lever has the raised "boss" cut down already.
