cold start value solenoid

hi ,im having problems with solenoid . the sharft in the solenoid is only coming out 13 m and to press the brass value it neads to come out about 14m. it seem that the sharft has worn down. does anyone know how i can fix this

Hi,
You only need 3mm movement on the plunger. See pic.

thank you for that naj, my solenoid may be the wrong one because it is only 11m long and extended its only 14m long. are there deferent types of solrnoids or my solenoids broken. the part number on this one is 0 330 106 004 can anyone tell me if that is right. cheers charlie

You must have a late 70/71 car with a smaller CSV?
The picture is for the earlier bigger CSV fitted to 230/250/Early 280SLs with the solenoid part # 0 330 106
001
Sorry, I do not have specs for the later '004' solenoid.
