Hi

just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Star Classic Mercedes Manual Vol 4 in a 2 CD set. it seems to be available from a website called Mercedesmanuals.com for a pretty good price.  Any feeedback is appreciated.

http://www.mercedesmanuals.com/1955_1972_Mercedes_Benz_100_121_SL_198_113_Factor_p/p2700ev4000.htm

Thanks,

Bernd

I bought this from MB USA.
It contains service manuals (BBB) for 300SL, 190SL, 600, and the three Pagoda models.
I found it difficult to navigate, it doesn't work very well with Opera as the netbrowser.
So I have printed out the 280SL manual. Took a bit of work to go thro' many pdf-files, but the result was worth it.
So I now have both 1959 and 1968 BBBs.

So since I have the 68 book already then that should be all I need, right?  Thanks for your input. The other option I have is to order the german book, which, if I am reading the website correctly, is available. Since I am german that would be easy too.

Be warned,,,

I ordered a service manual from Mercedes Manuals item P2700EV4000 1955-1972 Mercedes-Benz Star Classic Service Manual Vol 4 $40.00 plus shipping to UK of $78.16.

Initial communication was excellent and delivery was prompt.

On arrival I was suprised to find that the CD's were not originals as shown on their website but copies and we more than the cost of originals from the Classic Centre USA.

Although they agreed a refund but to date nothing has been refunded.

Instead looking for orginal BBB for my 1970 280sl restoration.

I found the cd to be not worth the money. The BBBs are much better!

You might also want to get the BBB "starting 1959" version. As documented on this site, it has information that the later 1968 version doesn't have.
