280SL featured in Halle Berry's new film "Frankie and Alice"

The car is shown briefly in the several times. It is green. Almost appears to be a hybrid, 230SL hub caps, otherwise 280SL look (tail and head lights). Does anyone know whose it is?.... The film plays in Los Angeles, so I'm guessing it was shot here too.

This probably is not what one might call a "mass market" movie.

Anytime anyone has questions on a film, a good idea is to consult the iMDB.  Here's the link for this one:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1221208/

It was filmed in 2009, but will only be released in December here, and in a few limited markets.

On a similar but different topic, one of our friends here from the MBCA had his R107 used in a film shot in Detroit in the spring of 2009, called "The Irishman" with Val Kilmer.  Was supposed to be released on St. Patrick's Day of 2010, but so far not.  Last we heard, maybe St. Patrick's Day of 2011.  It's a funny business.

Yes. Halle was talking about how even for her it was difficult to raise 15 million for the films budget. I have a feeling, once poeple see the film or it wins critical acclaim, it will go into broader distribution....
