Beautiful Day
« on: November 19, 2010, 21:44:46 »
It is a perfectly clear sunny day, about 22 degree C (70f ), 8.30 in the morning, top down, new 5 speed gearbox in the car, its off for a drive.

I must do a check of the revs to MPH/KPH given that I have the 3.46 diff ratio.

A perfect day.  Life's good. That's what its all about isn't it ;D ;D ;D

Sorry Reggie, its payback time as we in the lower half of the world enjoy the spring and summer coming. Have returned home after a three hour drive in the country side.

Car performed with out fault. Except speedo reading 45mph when its doing 60mph and the revs at 2250 in 5th, 2750rpm or there abouts for 60mph in 4th.  Now I really need to get a calibration done on the speedo or just live with it.

Well, we are getting the first real storm of the Winter (even though its still Fall) here in Nevada County, CA. Rain then snow by Sat/Sun... Knowing it was coming -- this afternoon, I pulled up the soft-top and got in a nice little spin before the first drop hit.

Enjoy the weather Garry!

Hi Garry,we are envious as it's really miserable here in Southampton just now. Don't expect any
more runs this year, time to do a few little jobs just added headrests and resprayed some hubcaps,
will re-grease suspension and wait 'till spring.........

Garry,
I'm still hoping for a drive or two since we don't have salt yet .... maybe I shouldn't have said that.  ;D
Winter is tough in Chicago, but hearing from you, and the other lucky blokes around the world who get to drive, lets us vicariously enjoy the experience.
Also, I think these cars love to rev out once in a while, so you will have the best of both worlds if you let it rev out to 4000 RPM in third every so often. My car runs better after a nice highway cruise at those R's.
