Engine Restart

Question folks...

I have a 1965 230 SL which starts first time in the button every morning regular as clockwork HOWEVER if for any reason the car stalls or say I have to stop and turn the engine off and I then jump back in 5 minutes later when I try to restart (if its less than 20 minute wait) the car won't easily restart. It does catch eventually but only after holding the key against the ignition point for about 20 - 30 seconds....in that time it sort of slowly burbles into life.

Cold Start valve maybe ?

Any ideas ? As I say if I leave the car overnight first thing in the morning come rain or shine it fires first turn....

Thanks

Darren.

Try holding the gas pedal about half way down when hot. From memory, I believe that is how you are instructed to start the car in the owners manual. It works great on my 230SL.
