Seal for Top Cover

Does any one know where we can get the seal for the top cover in the US. Found this one in across the pond.

Anyway, since the lifetime of this seal is short because even with plastic protectors it is almost impossible to prevent rubbing of the soft top fabric I'd buy the repro part and replace it in a couple of years.

Which plastic protectors??? I think I found a part that is missing in my car..

Definitely use the OEM.  The nylon "rub" protectors on the sides are much better, and the fit is excellent.  I just went through this and the only good seal that URO has is the door seals.  I had to throw out the URO trunk seal and get an OEM trunk seal from MB, because the fit was so bad. Definitely worth the extra money.

Can only type to the OEM part. I replaced the seal on my 280 SL, and the factory part just fit exactly right. A key item is to do the prep! I spent some three+ hours cleaning all the little bits of rubber out of the channel. The new part slipped right in, and all the little channels and grooves lined up!
I have cut up a gallon plastic jug and fashined two angled pieces that I use to protect the rubber seal where the top rubs, I did this on the 107 I had, and it does help to reduce the weat on the rubber and the wear on the top.

I had a new OEM seal last year, an excellent investment.
Regarding "plastic protection" I have laminated 4 pieces of paper, which then prevents Chaffing during the soft top storage processes.

Love the laminated paper/milk jug solution.  I'll definitely take a crack at that, as I daily drive my 113 (after she's out of the shop next week), and am concerned about chewing up the new seal.

The photos are pretty much how I did it. You can also buy the heavy duty plastic separators for three ring binders, and they provide the same function.
