The dreaded linkage adjustment

I believe that the length of my linkages are way way off. If anyone can tell me what the approximate lengths of their linkages are? A picture would be nice so i know what linkages you are talking about, not necessary though.

I did find this page on my own, and it does look very informative. I was just looking for a close-to setting i can put them to, cause I have no idea what the distances should be, and the car is currently not running, so i can't play it by ear.

When you read that document you will see EXACT measurements NEEDED to set up the linkages to get the car running.
If you then follow all the great advice in the article you might actually have the engine running correctly or very close to it.

What the instruction will do is to make sure that when the accelerator pedal is released – the throttle valve is fully closed and the fuel injection pump (IP) is fully closed. The reason for the length adjustment or by using the hole in the bracket, is to make sure the geometry is correct – so you also get full throttle and full deliverance from the IP when the pedal is at the floor. This is a strictly mechanical adjustment which needs to be done before you start playing with the idle air screw and the IP idle mixture screw.
