Seat question

Helllo
My driver's seat does not go all the way back.  There is about 2 inches (50mm) betweeen the back of the seat and the rear shelf.  My passenger seat goes all the way back and touches.  The tracks are clear, and both seats slide forward and back ok.  But as you look into the car, the passenger seat is about 2 inches behind the dirver's seat when they are all the way back.  I could use the room, as my legs barely fit under the steering wheel.  Any ideas out there?  67 230sl

Take the seat out to see what the obstruction may be.  It could be on the seat or the car side.
