wiper motor
« on: July 29, 2011, 02:35:42 »
I took my wiper motor from my 69 280 SL to an auto electric guy and he said its cooked and he can't rebuild it.  ??? Does anyone know of a good used one or know of a re builder in the states. Also any leads on rebuilt or aftermarket ones would be helpful.
Thanks, Eric

maybe an electric motor re-winder can fix it for you.
Generally they rewind the coils inside and they would replace bushes or bearings if needed.
Everything costs and it might be cheaper to buy a second hand unit as long as you know it works.

I had my alternator fixed because I like to have the original parts in my car.
