Vented or Non-vented Gas Cap ?????
« on: October 09, 2011, 00:10:28 »
Hi,   while looking for gas cap options, I see that one vendor in CA offers two different locking gas caps for W113 - - one is vented, one is not.

Does the Serial # of my car determine which of these caps is correct?   My # is 010745..............

Looking forward to any input.

Hank

Our cars use non vented caps because the fuel tank is vented through a seperate line. Vented caps are used on fuel tanks where the venting is done through the filler neck like what you would find on an early 190SL.
