I had a similar problem on my '66. You might try detaching the clutch slave return spring, and then pushing the actuation lever back and forth a few times. Sometimes an air bubble gets trapped in there and does not bleed out - this gets it out into the system. Sounds a bit silly, but after trying a lot of different things, this turned the trick for me in a minute or two. I found the suggestion here on the board, so there is probably a post you can find via a search with more info/discussion on this trick.
This, of course, assumes that all else is well in the system.......
