Dissolving Fuel hose
« on: September 26, 2011, 19:17:31 »
After refuelling in Germany yesterday  with Aral super 98 I noticed a fuel smell after parking my 230 SL in my garage at home.
I discovered fuel dripping from the hose connecting  the fuel pump and the gas tank.
Examination learned that the (newly  mounted) fuel hose( Gates 12 mm multi fuel hose) seemed to be dissolving.
Anyone having the same experience or tips ?

Thanks in advance !l

I've had that too. Check if there are minute cracks in the rubber. I needed to replace mine within a year. There appears to be a bad batch out.
