230 SL HARDTOP ID #

Good Afternoon Gentleman & Ladies
I pulled my hardtop out this afternoon to find the ID numbers that are supposed to be there. they talk about it in the technical manual section.
Sure enough there it is: 8020  2501
I don't have my Data card from the MB folks yet, but being the numbers nut that I'am, what the heck are these numbers??
Where would I go to get the wood trim? It's rotten to death!

David, if you don't have your data card there is a data plate inside the engine bay above the left front tire.  The numbers on the HT should match some of the numbers on the data plate, I think in the third line.  The same numbers that would be on the hood and the soft top lid, although there may only be 3 numbers on these items.  Hope that helps.

I purchased the wood surround from Bud's a couple of years ago.  It was unfinished and just required a few of coats of clear paint to finish it off,
