280SL recently acquired
« on: November 20, 2011, 15:24:03 »
Hi Guys

I have recently purchased this 280sl...does anyone know the car. It seems pretty original and hopefully in need of a light restoration.  I am from the UK but based in the UAE and hoping to have the work done in the UAE....

Will keep you all updated with progress...

very pretty car--yours, that is   ;)

Thanks Suzy

I kept seeing cream with tan cars but really wanted a red interior and so jumped at this car... i wold have prefered a less yellow cream then paint code 670 but beggars cant be choosers :)

I am a big fan of paint code 050 which is grey beige.  I think the SL looks spectacular in this colour.

First task will be to respray the car and I will be eurpeanising it by removing side lamps and overriders...

Looks pretty good to me for that price and I agree the original vinyl appears in great shape.
