removing brake reservoir level sensors
« on: December 28, 2011, 00:06:35 »
Hi , I thought i would remove the brake fluid in the reservoirs, on my 280 SL, and clean the plastic tanks.  I am not sure how to remove the level sensors, and have looked in the Tech Manual, and brake section of the forum  without finding anything  specifically on this.  Can someone plse help with this.

cheers

Rutger,

After disconnecting the battery and removing the reservoir cap and taking off the electrical connection, the caps/sensors remaining on either bottle just prise (pry) upward out of the neck of each of the bottles. There is a rubber O ring at the base of each of the sensors that has to be squeezed back in when reversing the procedure.
