Spring has arrived in UK
« on: March 11, 2012, 13:16:51 »
Spring has sprung, the sun is out, the hardtop off. There is nothing like the 1st drive of the year with the top down.

Glad to hear our friends in the UK are having some nice weather and will be enjoying their Pagodas "topless". Here, in Northern California, after enjoying really nice weather for most of the winter, will be battening down the hatches this week for a fairly large storm coming in off the Pacific. Even though this means keeping my car safely tucked away in the garage for awhile, we really need the rain and snow up in the mountains.
It won't be long though before the top gets hoisted off and we too will hitting the road with the wind in my hair (what's left of it:-)

If any of you (UK) guys are UK MB Club members, there is a 'meet' at RAF Museum Hendon on Sunday 18th March 2012 from around 10.00 am.
Museum entrance is free but parking charges are payable.
At least 50 MBs have signed up so far on the Club Forum.

See you there?

I have really been enjoying the pagoda last few weeks.

Its such an addictive driving experience.

I spent last weekend giving the car a good service and a re application of waxoyl - which I do every 2 years.

With my new wood steering wheel, im ready for another summer.

The choice is always difficult when I open the garage and decide between the pagoda and the R107 500.

Yes this weather is really getting me down.. I taxed the 500SL R107 for the summer months and as yet have not had one chance to use it... The pagoda has only been out a couple of times.

frustrating.

Sully,

My car sat on the drive today while I tinkered with my Elan +2, I must have my priorities wrong, btw I will give you a call tomorrow.
