I bought a new intermediate gear shaft bearing at the dealer.
Now this is a modified part. Refering to the Big Blue Bible (page 01-11/3) this part can only be installed into the modified crankcase.
I have an early engine and think the crankcase is not modified.
But i was wondering why it only can be installed in the modified crankcase.The dimensions are the same. The only modification at the bearing is an enlarged oil groove and a notch that is provided.
Should i better use the old one?
