coil wire ohms

RE: 1969 280SL

Testing the coil wire, which connects the coil to the distributor, with an OHM meter reads: (0) zero OHMS.
Is this OHM reading correct or should the Coil wire read (1) one OHM?

Thank you.

It depends if you have resistors on the coil wire. I like 0 ohms but two resistors would give you 2K which is why I don't like them being there. You want all of the voltage going to the cap and then through the rotor which will have 5K ohms in most cases. 1K at the spark plug and that's all you need.
If you listen to AM radio you might get a lot of static without all of the resistors on the wires, but who listens to AM these days? The trade off is a much better starting, idling and performing engine.

Thank you, Benz Dr.

The coil is red (26,000 volts) and the ballast is 1.8

A couple of the distributor wires including the red bakelite bosch spark plug end, when tested with an OHM meter read: 1.2 OHMS and the four others read: 1.0 OHMS.
Is this the correct set up?

Again, thank you very much for helping me.
