FOR SALE: 1959 MERCEDES-BENZ 190 SL

I have been asked to sell an outstanding 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, with only 33,717 miles. Colors are 050 White, 1079 red leather, black convertible top.  It was purchased new by noted physicist and radar pioneer Lee Davenport http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/01/science/01davenport.html who owned it until 2008.

Always garaged, this car is an exceptional original example with one repaint. The interior is original except for the rubber floor mats. In 2009, the current owner commissioned my shop to prepare the car for road use. Work included cosmetic refurbishing and preservation work to the undercarriage and paint, as well as a thorough mechanical check and up-dating including complete brake and fuel system overhaul, new convertible top and radial tires.
