Literature - Good Reading Material
« on: August 05, 2012, 22:39:40 »
We are going on a trip to Edinburgh & Naples later this year, a long trip. Can anyone recommend any good reading material or books on discs regarding the W 113 and specifically the 280 SL? I need something to take on the plane with me to occupy some time. Thanks.

You did say on disc but in case you get desperate and decide to take paper, here is a link to the Tech Manual literature list.

I think discs will be the service manuals and similar discussed here in several threads.

When I look at my bookshelf of collected SL, Pagoda, and Mercedes works accumulated over the years, and compare and contrast to the new realities of airline travel with weight and luggage restrictions, smaller seats, smaller planes--I'm thinking you might really investigate whether anything is available on a Kindle or eBook or some other format.  Few of the MB books are small enough to carry around with you and the joy of reading might be overshadowed by the burden of carrying!

I suppose you can search Amazon and Barnes & Noble to see what kind of eBook titles they might have.

Mike that being said-  Im still picking up Pagoda Style and reading the vignettes in regard to our group of owners and im not halfway through, even though we've had the book awhile- perhaps you should explore if the text is sale-able as an ebook.
