I cant really order from SLS as its mainly in German and I cant read that.

There is an option on the SLS site to click on on the British flag and it translates most pages. SLS is also VERY helpful over the phone. When they answer "Guttentag" and you respond "Hello" they will continue the rest of the conversation in English.

You could try Gernold at SL-Tech for a used part. Or perhaps, if there's space, try rewelding then welding on a doubler plate over the first weld.

Alright will try that.

I had sent an email to them regarding this particular part, but no reply from them. Maybe I really need to call them. Just that due to the hour diff, I am not quite sure of their working time as to when is a good time for me to call them. Usually I would be asleep during European daytime I guess.

And thanks alot Johnny B for the explaination.

Hi All,

Need your help to identify some parts. I have attached pictures of the parts that needs replacing, do let me know if you have the parts number

For part number 1 & 2, was told by my mechanic that I need to replace them since my engine has difficulty starting and can die off during idling. Not sure if thats true, any other opinions?

Part no 1 is the solenoid for your Cold Start Valve. These are available to buy from MB or from the vendors listed on this site. I bought mine from George at Authentic Classics. It came with the gasket and screws:   http://www.authenticclassics.com/product-p/auth-003022.htm

As for part no 2, that is the idle speed solenoid and is NLA from MB. I had problems with mine but cleaning it up and then actually driving the car loosened things up and it's now working ok. Good used ones do occasionally pop up on ebay.com or ebay.de
