water pump

anyone know if the smaller hose that comes from the water pump and goes to the metal Y piece,is the same diameter both ends.i had one pipe bust the other day and whilst looking at the rest i noticed that this one looked larger at the pump end,and could spell trouble.on another topic are thoses rads with the extra cores availible in europe,i live in spain,and it gets hot and so does the car in stop- start traffic.
hope someone can help.

Hello Andy,
 thanks for your post, I'm awaiting a letter from the Bti
department to get the car classified, and as the people at the bti
are backlogged I have to wait.
 Yes I am aware of the 5% charge for VAT only classic car coding
as I brought in another vehicle in a few years ago and had no
problem at all, the people handleing the car are well known to
me and are very good.
 Thanks for thinking of me anyway, I think the two ends of the
pipe are the same size? but make sure to be safe rather than
sorry let us know howyou get on?
