280SL Tachometer "C" bracket
« on: February 02, 2013, 21:01:30 »
I'm replacing my squealing tachometer (after years of unsuccessful attempts to resolve, including new cable) and discovered that the "C" bracket was loose and unattached.  I can't seem to find any photos or illustrations that show exactly how it should look when properly installed.  The photos in the technical manual are somewhat helpful, but not completely.  Can anyone guide me to photos on "Tachometer Replacement for Dummies"?  Thanks!   -John

There are two photos in the technical manual showing how the bracket fits over the tachometer (rev counter):

Tell us what else do you need to know so we can help.

Don't forget to connect the brown ground (earth) wire under the thumbscrew.
