Ah yes, nice car and good price for 58,000 miles.  Of coarse the odometer is not working ?  Also note that "carb needs some attention". Too bad it had to have those bulky US safety bumpers added on. The original graceful chrome versions look so much better on the car. Another issue with these cars around 1974 the seat synthetic padding turns brittle, and ends up on the floor. Eventually the seat covers are loosely draped over the seat springs as the padding is depleted. Window alignment on those huge coupe doors is also a challenge.

Don't mean to be too negative, I just know the weak spots. A good W114 coupe is a great car. The 250CE Euro version is one of my all time favorites. It had the M130 engine with EFI injection, (lighter than the mechanically injected M130). I saw a beautiful green metallic 250CE at a car show. It was a Euro version with the injected single overhead cam engine, small chrome bumpers, euro headlights, sunroof and a 5 speed standard transmission.  One of my all time favorites.It was also pre-climate control (manual controls always work and they were they didn't break off on this model). Most experienced old MB owners  know that automatic climate control on older Mercedes is always a challenge. 

Still, I appreciate the good solid rust free body on that car Alfred, probably worth the sale price for that alone.

Hello All, Been away for a while and was surprised to see all the posts on this 1975 model since I last looked.   Based on the comments, I think RUN don't walk from this car is accurate.  Thanks to Joe, Dan, and Stick for your knowledge, and insight.

I think I will just be happy with my Pagoda, and move on.

The big thing on those cars is rust. They can rust like you won't believe. Aside from that, the base of the cars can warp, creating vacuum leaks. I've seen a number with Holley conversions.
