Headlight flasher and Wiper Mechanism
« on: April 03, 2013, 06:26:35 »
Gentlemen,
At some stage in the past my column switch must have been dismantled and the contact components associated with Headlight flasher and Washer mechanism  (for and aft movements)  must have need lost.  My switch only has the turn mechanism inside.

I have read Longtooth’s excellent overview of the function of this mechanism, titled High bean flasher on Column Switch, dated July 2003,   but I cannot work out what I am missing or how I might be able to fabricate something.

I am hoping that someone might be able to photograph what the internal bits look like and how they fit between the stalk and  contact top plate.
It seem a common problem for many, so anyone who can help would be assisting the entire group.

Finally, do the two sets of wires from the wiper speed switch connect to the solder with both greens to one side and both blacks to the other, or are they crossed  with one green and one black per side?

Hope someone can help.

Fantastic Naj. Many thanks.,
That is exactly what I was hoping for. Mine have clearly been incorrect soldered, which may explain why I only have 1 speed wipers.

best wishes
