Partition Panel Seal Installation

These partition panels and their seals have been discussed here before, but I`m still not clear how the seal attaches to the partition panel (inner fender splash shield). So I`ve made a picture to show how I think it looks like it`s supposed to go. Can someone please verify if my sketch is correct. It`s a section of the firewall extension into the wheel well and the fender sheet metal behind the front wheel. The seal is shown installed on the partition panel and the partition panel is shown installed. I don't want to do it wrong because the butyl tape seal is a pain to get off if I do it wrong the first time. Is the sketch correct?

Hi Tom,
Given the shape of the rubber extrusion and shape of the shield I don't think there is any other way to install it, anyway this is the exact way I have always done.
BDW nice technical drawing.
