Steering noise

I am looking for advise on a noise when I turn the steering wheel.
It's a low graunching sound which seems to occur when the car has warmed up.
I did recently grease the various nipples on the front of the car but the noise is still there.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ifty

Could be due to a sharp bend or even a kink in the hose that goes from the bottom of the PS reservoir to the pump.

It was the steering idler bush on mine when it was making a similar noise, also only
when the engine was hot.

Did you check your oil level of the steering pump Ifty?

Thanks for your responses gents.
I have only greased various points at the front end as yet but will look at your suggested causes within the next week or so and report back.
Thanks again,
Ifty

Sounds like air in the system caused by low oil level from a leak somewhere. You should note that once you have air trapped in the system it will continue to push fluid out until you remove any trapped air.
