Bosch European headlights

I got this problem with my European Headlights. I did not notice it until I got it home .
1) light beam is very week is their  another buld  I can use  H4?
2) flash to pass is not working the brown wire was hooked up  before the change .I am not even sure I have High Beams?
Is there  a special hook up  adding another pin to the  big black plug with pins?
