How to mount the Horns
« on: December 18, 2013, 03:17:44 »
Gentlemen,
I know that horns are electrical, but my questions is about mechanical mounting, so hope this is the right  section to post my question to.

I have an early RHD 250SL Auto but I cannot work out how to mount the horns.
I have two nicely restored Bosch horns and two multi-plate extenders that appear to be for the horns, but I not sure where or how to mount them.  They definitely came with the car so were certainly mounted at some stage.

I can see from multiple images on the web (one attached) where they are meant to go, but the horns themselves stop me from seeing where and how the extender plates  bolt on.
I have two angle plates and bolts welded onto the chassis rails that appear to be for the horns, but how the extenders are bolted to these is not clear to me.

Does anyone have a drawing or picture or advice on of where and how to mount the horns?

thanks
Jeff
