AC wiring
« on: April 15, 2014, 19:51:38 »
I've decided to try and resurrect the old Kuhlmeister and I know the wiring is long perished.  I seem to recall some years back a wiring diagram for air conditioning on this forum but I can't seem to find it.  Can someone offer the diagram or just a description of what connects to where?

Thanks
Gerry

Gerry,

They are not specific to Mercedes, but on the Nostalgic AC Parts site and on the Vintage Air site, there are PDF documents that explain generic plumbing and wiring of automobile AC systems like the Kuhlmeister and other aftermarket systems.  I have found them helpful.

Good luck,

There is a seller on eBay who offers an installation brochure, he may also sell the wiring diagram http://www.ebay.com/itm/251497338266.

Thanks, I bought it.  OTOH, its for frigiking but hopefully very similar.  I have pretty well figured out the wiring now and found I need a blower.  Others mentioned 3 speed blowers but I see that mine is a continuously variable.  That is there is a rheostat that controls it instead of a switch.
