Fog light location
« on: January 10, 2014, 03:10:18 »
Hi - I recently bought a  beautiful 1971 Pagoda and I have a set of OEM Bosch fog lamps that I would like to install on the front bumper. Can someone please advise how to determine the exact location / measurement for drilling holes to install these lamps on the front bumper. Much appreciated!

Front fog lights were not commonly installed on US version cars. Not sure where they would go on a car with Bumperettes.

Assuming your car is a Euro model, here's a photo show approximate placement.

I suspect placement may have varied a bit as some of these lights were added by dealers or the owners themselves.

I seem to recall that if a bumper has pre-drilled holes for the bumper guards (capped if not used) that these holes can be used.

The car in the photo is away for the Winter so I cannot get an exact measurement.

Thanks Richard, that helps. Mine is a US version however it has the new Euro bumpers with no bumperettes. There are no pre-drilled holes so it would be nice to have exact measurements before I drill the same.

If you can wait a couple of weeks the parts I sent away for re-chroming will be back and the front bumpers have these holes.
