There is not any more the control handles on this car.
Does anybody have a picture, to see how it should look like?

Thiery,
your unit is from 230SL and the levers (or handles) that broke off have the same color as the disks. The unit is a 280 SL is different; the levers are all black and riveted to the disks.
Does the photo help?

Hi Alfred,
Mine is a 280SL 1968, automatic.
So it should be riveted!
Do you have also a pic of this model?
The good news is that my assy is not broken, just missing 4 parts. >:( >:(
Sure helps, thanks

As you can see,  many of the aftermarket suppliers have levers with  colors which are not quite right on three of them (reds and blue) and is completely wrong on the fourth which should be smoke or grey (not orange). I just installed a set from Mercedes and the colors are correct and noticeably different from many after-markets. Of coarse the parts cost is higher from the dealer.

Also if you have a W113 with center speaker, you will have to slightly modify the grey lever wherever you get it. Compare it closely to the original.

Thank you, I understand now!
I'll  keep my original colours and original parts as much as possible, by just adding the riveted knobs.
