Modern convertible?
« on: April 24, 2014, 00:26:34 »
A lot of us own newer MBs so I hope someone here has some info for me.  Since I sold my 280 SE 4.5 sedan and have an empty spot in the garage, I'm looking at a 2005 CLK 500 Cabriolet on Saturday.  It is a one owner car with 14,000 miles.  Are there any areas of concern with these cars that I should give extra attention to while I'm checking it out.  The car is said to be like new and I hope this one meets my standards.  Most of the cars I have looked at were not well cared for cosmetically or mechanically.  Even the certified pre owned have had some major cosmetic flaws or damage.  If the car is truly pristine what is a fair price for one of these?  There seems to be a wide swing in price.

Well I went to look at the future modern classic to be and tripped over my emotions and bought it.  It was the cleanest one in my price range.  The pictures describe it all.  It drives great and has no mechanical hiccups that I could find especially with only 14500 miles on it.

Thanks, My pagoda is jealous that I have a new car...  I will not leave it sit.  I still take it out when possible.  The weather here has not been good yet.  Too much rain...
