Convenient Vacuum port or critical adjustment?
« on: July 17, 2014, 23:49:06 »
Gentlemen
I have been using the small threaded port on the Venturi housing as a convenient way to connect my Vacuum Gauge.  A soft pipette tip fits perfectly and makes an airtight seal, so its ideal.

But is has suddenly occurred to me that this might not be the right thing to do!
Is this OK as a vacuum port or am I fiddling with some critical factory set adjustment?
Someone went to a lot of effort to design it in, so does anyone know what it is actually for?

Hi,
I have used the port for the same purpose with no problems.
I have now added an adaptor and use the line to run a vacuum advance distributor on a 280 SL
