What is the approximate weight in lbs of the stock 6 with ac?

Someone who did a conversion did weight both original Pagoda 280 engine with ancillaries and AC and a 560 Aluminum block engine with ancillaries and AC and found the latter to be lighter. I think the long blocks are of comparable weight, but steering pump and brackets are aluminum instead of steel.

The Pagoda is nose heavy, so you want to fit as light an engine as you can. Aluminum V6 or V8 is an improvement as weight is lower and sits more backwards. Shifting the battery in the trunk or behind the seats will also help. If you can do without an oil cooler it will also help as the Pagoda one is really heavy and sits right in the front with the battery.

GGR, The list does not show engines from 1963 to 1971 or do I miss something here?

It shows a pre-1995 inline 6 which may be the M103, close enough to the M130 in terms of weight as they both have an iron block.

And 63-71 may be the production year of the Pagoda, but its engine family started well before that on the 220 ponton, and went on living well after that on the w114 and even w123 chassis. So I guess the info is close enough when it comes to draw approximate weight estimates for these engines, as requested by OP.
