Visiting Down Under

I plan to be in Perth/Fremantle Australia the weekend of 18/19 October. Any members up for a meet up for a pint in Freemantle, say at Little Creatures?? I will be arriving on the Tuesday before, but have a workshop (somewhere in Perth, client is setting up the hotel/venue), there for the weekend, then leaving early Monday morning.

I arrive on 14 October on Qantas, 581 arriving into Perth at 12:20 PM.

Just want to put out a public thank-you to DaveB and SAhren for supplying some absolutely super Australian hospitality while I was visiting in Perth. Dave picked me up at the airport and we enjoyed conversation and an ale before he had to head north. Steven picked me up in his Pagoda on Friday evening, and we went to Cottesloe for dinner at a tapas bar, followed by tea and coffee in Fremantle.

Truly enjoyable!

I will add my encouragement to (and what a number of others have already typed) all 113sl members that have the opportunity to travel - check on members in your travel area. There are friends out there ready to be met in person!

Hi Jonny,

This is what this forum is all about, glad to see you had a great time down under. I spend some time in Australia (4 months to be exact in 1984) on business and found the people down under just fabulous and forthcoming. It is great when one travels and is able to briefly meet someone that has the very same interests. Perhaps we should open a "Topic" like "Taking a trip let's meet" Must be great to arrive at a train station or airport and meet some fellows with a Pagoda or two and talk shop
