Flip side of Data Card (version 3)
« on: November 18, 2014, 23:23:12 »
Hi all,
I hope some one out there will be able to help. I am looking for a good scanned image of the rear
Of an original beige data card.  The one shown in the technical manual is not clear and can not  be read.
As I only have a scanned data card from MB USA, I am looking to re create my card as per the original.
I have completed the front of the card.
I know some people will find this a controversial thing to do, but it is purely for my use, and will look better
Than the microfiche copy that it have now.
So if you have an original data card I would be really grateful if you could scan the back and send to me.
Many thanks.
DM.

I have a blank card, but am traveling. If no one else has posted by the end of the week, I can do a scan.

Thanks Mark that is great. I think i can just read what is there so i should be able to manage. The three lines of white boxs, are these
something you have blanked out or are they on the card? also could you tell me the dimensions of the card.
Again many thanks for your kind help, you guys are amazing. I will post pictures when i have completed the recreation.
Best regards
DM.

Hi DM.

The Datacard is 18.7cm x 8.3cm with rounded edges.

The "white boxes" are the 3 key codes punched out to ensure security. The cars were delivered with 2 Datacards, one of which contained the various key codes and the second one had the codes punched out so that it could be kept in the car.

good luck.

Hi all,
Firstly I would like to thank Mark for kindly scanning the flip side of his data card. A am glad to say
That I finished the recreation data card today. I have attached a pic for those interested. I have blanked out the Key codes.
On screen the colour seems a little dark, I may need to tweet that a bit.
Anyway Thanks again.

Regards DM.

Hey DM,

Absolutely stunning! Great work!
Really looks like an original.
Even the "jumping" numbers (not correctly in line with the others) have been "reproduced".

Looks really great, congratualtions!

Very well done.  Here's another original if it helps. This car had one version with the key codes visible and a second with them obliterated as opposed to punched through.
