Ar Conditioning Kuhlmeister front plaque
« on: August 14, 2014, 01:37:28 »
Hi There,
Im restoring the interior of my Pagoda and as of right now Im restoring my Kuhlmeister AC. There is a plaque on the left side that are the knobs for speed and temp.
There are two words written on the center of the plaque that I can read Tem on the right side but I cannot read the word on the left side. There is a graphic designer replicating the wording and it would be important to have the correct words.
Here I have my plaque for better understanding.
Any one with the same AC could please help?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Caio Stinchi

On the left it says Magne and then a figure like a Z. On the right is the Z figure again and then Temp. I had some made at a trophy shop and the hardest part is the font for those two words. I have a few spares and could sell you both pieces for $25 if you wanted an easy fix.

Very cool!  Decals?  Can you share what you used to make it?

Thanks

Frank,
Basically I asked a friend of mine that works with photo shop ago create a digital file of the plaque..(attached on this email) I took as much all dimensions as possible and also scanned in real size to help him.
Than I went to a arts store and bought a paper which is double sided and with glue on it. You print, peel and apply to the metal plaque. It needs to be absolutely clean to add the film on it. I'll check and see if there is any name on the paper to help.
Regards,
Caio

I haven't been on the site for a while and didn't realize folks had asked about these. i still have some spares and can get new ones made any time. The ones the trophy shop made for me started out with a digital image also, then he checked all available fonts to get as close to the original as possible and in the end you really can't tell. Then they are lazer etched onto a special medal plate that is silver on the top but down a layer it is black thus they should never wear out. If anyone is still interested send me a pm.
