Is this a Photoshop-ed car?
« on: November 21, 2014, 00:28:06 »
Hello All,

I came across this image somewhere on the web - - I am pretty sure it is a phony.

- - - the trunk lid suggests Jaguar (exposed chromed hinges), as does the gas filler cap, and the recess for the license plate. The roof line suggests CLS, the bumper guards and wheel well spears suggest Gullwing, the hood is a complete mystery. Amber lenses began to appear in the US about 1965.

Put on your thinking caps!

Looks Brit to me: prob. RHD, alligator hood, prob. fiberglas, lack of bright rear window reveal moulding, amber light assembly Jag-ish.  Maybe an amateur TVR wannabe.  Roadside looks English.   ???  Jon
