1964 pagoda running rich oil smells of fuel
« on: December 21, 2014, 01:21:57 »
After buying my car which had been sitting in a garage in Brisbane for about 10 yrs I restored the body and registered the car but have been having problems with it running rich ,have done every thing with the csv  and the wrd plus replacing point, etc . However it keeps fouling the plugs and eventually stops after lot of power loss , can also smell fuel in the oil ,could it only be the fuel injection pump or anything else ? Would love to here your opinions . Thanks Bruceclan

I'm puzzled as to why you've posted this question in the W111 section but anyway, fuel in the oil can only be coming from stuck cold start spray valve, worn pump or, more unusually, leaking injectors.

Also, check the injection pump rack to see if it is stuck. Are you driving the car or are you still garage testing?
