how far is MB from the Pagoda hey days?

although concept cars were always incredibly designed, this one made me wonder how far have MB gone from the Pagoda times... but at the end of the day, may be not so far?

BTW, the front window seems better prepared to admire the sky rather than the road, but maybe there is no more need to watch the road :D
