It's an adorable scene and I imagine any bystanders would smile.

But in all seriousness, I wondered about using the back like this for a special occasion like a parade or a wedding. Would the suspension be okay? Maybe at low speeds with no bumps? Or could you use something simple like a padded board to distribute the weight over the sides of the car instead of over the softtop hatch cover?

Imagine a panic stop!  You'd get to see some acrobatic flying from the passengers.   I carried 4 in my car once for a short distance but my California Coupe has a back seat.  Both front seats had to be well forward and the person behind me could still get only one foot on the driver's side of the tunnel.
